Weekly Instagram Rundown

This week
The last couple of weeks I’ve been struck down with a cold and an ear infection so I haven’t really ventured out anywhere fabulous enough to warrant an outfit post, however I did post some of my casual outfits up on Instagram.
I also wandered down to the local markets at Burliegh Heads and rummaged through lots of pre loved clothes (and came away with a bag load of goodies too).
There were a few random funny moments this week, like when I was walking the dog and found half a dozen road signs buried in the sand! Ha ha… Is my local council a bit confused? I also have been putting out into the social media world a couple of issues that I’ve been passionate about :- noise regulation legislation in Queensland (which is killing the live music industry here) sign petition and the ‘cultural centre’ being built on the beach (aka a casino using ratepayers money) … Learn more here
The second Instagram image here is part of an experiment. You see, I have been wondering latelyhow legitimate and effective Instagram really is. I get sooo many ‘likes’ and yet these people who keep ‘liking’ my fabulous pictures are not following me…hmmm. So I thought I would post a picture of my Facebook profile and accompanied it with ‘I need some Facebook followers , please like my page’ then I sat back and watched what happened. I got tonnes and tonnes of ‘likes’ but not one follow. It seems that people like my irrelevant Instagram pics as much as they like my adventurous and interesting ones! Still, I love Instagram… The filters are so much fun so I’m going to stick with it for now

I actually live in the GC (student at Bond), but I’m not from here. I haven’t been outside of Varsity Lakes (except weekly groceries at Robina!) My last exam is April 15th… So, im hoping the afternoon/evening of April 15th! 😉
Oh wow! Wonderful! There are actually some beautiful new places open in Broadbeach and Burliegh heads that are definitely worth trying but I would also highly recommend, for something a little bit different, driving 45 mins to Byron bay! You could definitely have an amazing drive down, bike ride along the beach, hike up to the lighthouse (amazing), cruise around the shops, they always make amazing wine recommendations at ‘the balcony’ and the food is great too. I reccomend lunch or dinner there for something upmarket but still relaxed if you would like to dress up, plenty of live music at the beach hotel (i personally avoid the food but I love having a beer in the sun) There are a few cute cafes as well as tonnes of amazing little boutiques too! You could stay the night. Will u be alone or with a few others?

I noticed that on Instagram, too. I guess loads of people just look up certain tags and then like every picture with that tag. Or something like that. :p I liked your Facebook page, and I’ve just started one myself too! If you want, maybe you can like mine, too?

I liked your page with my All Things Jasmine-account. It says ‘Liked’ when I open your page, so I guess it worked.. Anyway, I honestly did like it, so maybe Facebook is a bit confused?
Haha. No it’s ME! I have no idea how to use it. It seems so simple but then there are all these little things. I really need to get on to it an learn a bit more
